Conceiving a New Beginning – October 6, 2021

When does a new beginning actually begin? Does life begin at conception? What about consciousness? Where are you before you begin coming into a bodily form?

This 2-hour class explores our earliest development from pre-conception communications and journeys through conception, when the genetic material of egg and sperm unite. Our exploration includes actual physical developments as well as potential psychological effects of our earliest experiences, and how these may present in the treatment room.

Two important developmental milestones for the early embryo are nesting or implanting in the uterine wall and then folding in the third week culminating in a heart ignition, with the heart beginning to beat. Both of these major events involve not only changes in the little body but also psychological imprints relating to how we sense being safe, received and welcomed. In this 2-hour class, we explore these elements in relation to how they may manifest during Craniosacral Therapy session work, and how we might help.
